STOP FOSTA/SESTA

Written by on April 3, 2018

What does FOSTA/SESTA mean for us?

If you like porn, hook up sites, sexual freedom, sex workers rights, making Skype calls, having privacy in your Google Drive, or just having free speech on the internet, you gotta pay attention what is happening in government.

FOSTA/SESTA recently passes through Congress. Essentially, it criminalizes any platform where sexual content could be placed, where trafficking could occur.

The effect is that Craigslist dropped its personal ad section, Google is invading then deleting peoples personal Drive content, YouTube, is deleting sex educators completely safe for work content, Microsoft is monitoring your private Skype calls and gaming to forbid explicit language.

None of this will prevent the trafficking, abuse, or murder of anyone. This legislation creates more danger for sex workers and makes it easier for dangerous clients and cops to harass, abuse, or even kill sex workers.

If you don’t give a shit about sex workers, that’s fine, but take a look at what you can lose:

Safe online spaces to voice your opinion or ask for help on matters of sexuality, connection, relationship, and intimacy;

Online spaces for dating, hooking up, or sharing nudes;

Online resources for your relationship, your sexual function, your sexual medical needs;

Queer-specific spaces for organizing, hooking up, or getting necessary care:

  • Craigslist Personals closed
  • Backpage closed
  • Twitter is banning accounts based on content (Not just shadowbanning)
  • Instagram is closing accounts based on content (Not just shadowbanning)
  • FetLife is unsure what steps to take moving forward (rumors of closing)
  • CityMove closed
  • Reddit banned topics related to escorts, male escorts, hookers, and sugar daddies
  • WordPress and other major website hosts are pulling websites
  • Google is sending out bots to search for keywords and phrases to remove sites.
  • Google Voice is rumored not to be safe to use to set up sessions through anymore
  • Skype accounts will be pulled for the slightest infraction including offensive language.

      The problem is that escorts and models use the same sites to get references from. Now they are shutting down those sites. I did not title the piece appropriately. lol I just wanted to get your attention. I JUST FOUND THIS COMMENT SECTION. Thanks for paying attention to us! lol xoxo BratDollsVids.com is live btw.
